The Olympics!

Yay! I'm watching the opening ceremony right now... Today is 8/8/08. 8 is a lucky number in China.Why? Because the Chinese word for "8" sounds like the Chinese word for "money". Hm. Odd... Anyway... Do you watch the olympics? Are you cheering for anyone in particular? What events are you looking forward to? Are you bothered that George Bush kept checking his watch during the ceremony?

I didn't actually get to see the opening ceremony. Or at least, I didn't want to. But I am looking forward to alot of sports like, badminton, tennis, gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, volleyball, beach volleyball, track, baseball, soccer, and some more that I can't remember. What's really wierd is that my brother's old high school friend is in the Olympics in track.

Chinese money is called yen, and that doesn't sound like 8, so I don't think thats a reason why its lucky. Anyways, we already won a gold medal in fencing, and the opening ceremony was sooo cool!! I don't wanna spoil it, so watch it yourselves!!

I have a lot of fun watching swimming and diving and gymnastics. But that's just me.

the number 8 in chinese is ba. And that doesn't sound like yen. Just saying... But today I watched Archery, swimming, womens and mens soccer, and something horse related.

Lol. I am in Beijing NOW. I just go to a school like summer camp here. Anyways, I WATCHED Micheal Phelps break the record! And you know at the opening ceremony, the "fireworks" that you saw are digitally inserted because they had too many helicopters hovering above.

Thanks. But the smog there is really getting to my head T_T. The bird's nest is AWESOME. Well, just to make it BETTER my girlfriends here with me too. So right now I'm the happiest man ever.

Yeah, not jealous of that part. I'd rather NOT breathe in all those toxins, thank you very much. Er, enjoy yourself...

Haha. Well, at least I'm in a nice hotel. At least there's now smog THERE.

I DID. Muahahaha! Well, a downside is that my digital camera was in this repair shop in Hawaii, so I couldn't bring it. But my dad did bring his big black Nikon. So yea...

Awesomeness. I wish I was there. I went to the winter Olympics in Tourin, but I only got away with cuz we have family over there.
